What is Apostille Attestation?
Apostille Attestation is a process of legalizing documents for international use in countries that are part of the Hague Convention of October 5, 1961. With India’s accession to this convention, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Government of India, started issuing Apostilles from August 29, 2007.(www.hcch.net)
Apostille certification eliminates the need for further legalization by the foreign embassy. It applies to personal, educational, and non-commercial documents.

MEA Apostille Attestation

Once authenticated by the state authority or SDM, documents are submitted to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi for Apostille stamping.
